Just because someone asks you to do something, doesn't mean you have to do it. If you are in public, you have the right to take video and pictures - that's the law.
PS shaun - have you checked the legal situation of the PSA webcasting TOC for betting purposes ?
I am concerned, in some circles there might be a rush to judgement, hi-light the negative to embarass rather than a spirit of trying to help, support and encourage to make the product better and successful.
What would be most helpful I believe is greater communication and engagement by PSA Management with stakeholders and customers. Share your efforts, struggles, learnings, plans, hopes ... make us feel a part of what you are building, help us feel we are "in the boat rowing with you."
Generally - I think squash needs money. and sponsors. But to be there squash needs promotion. squash won't reach TENNIS popularity with rich sponsors, with worldwide tv coverage etc... having said that, i do suggest some eyes and ears to be opened. and creative. innovative.
the juvenile commentary was so bad it was embarrassing. i mean, really, really, amateurish and embarrassing.
typical psa: one step forward, six steps back
i hear that trouble is brewing, inside the psa
apparently there is friction between two senior officers and the players are fed up with one person in particular having so much power and showing favoritism to certain friends
- be detailed and specific with your criticisms and concerns
- avoid name calling and language that is mean spirited and inflammatory
- consider writing an article that outlines in full your concerns and criticisms ... even better would be including your ideas, suggestions to improve the situation, service
Speaking for myself and maybe others, the sniping day, after day, is detracting from your message and is wearing thin. This in no way speaks to the validity or truth to what you write. I personally think you raise many real and important issues and am thankful that you and others do speak up, most don't. But am concerned more with your manner and methods.
Most sincerly and with thanks,
Shawn

Barrington belched and swore. He also forgot the name of the company he was working for, as did a fellow commentator yesterday.
