How might a potential sponsor or an IOC voting member evaluate
squash's potential when National Championships and top prize
money pro events are unable to "fill the stands"?
Besides an ability to write a much needed and appreciated prize
money cheque (benefiting players, association coffers) should
Event Promoters/organizers also be expected to showcase the sport
in a professional manner ie. respectable attendance levels?
Might professional squash associations make attendance one of the
criteria, expectations during the sanctioning process for events
above a set prize money threshold. Or is it a case of: if
you can write a large enough cheque, you can host a squash event
regardless of the optics, perceptions that accrue to the
sport.
What conclusions or perceptions could be drawn about
squash?
